Bayfield Cabin

SDFA is providing architectural design services for an off-grid, sustainably designed 2,500 SF cabin to be located in the hills above Bayfield with sweeping views of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands. The cabin design engages the landscape, taking advantage of the lake view and the seclusion of the forests on either side of the dwelling. The cabin design will have a simple but luxurious feel, a contemporary modern look, and is incorporating as many reclaimed materials as possible to reduce the carbon footprint of the project. Additionally, the project is incorporating passivhaus design strategies for optimal building performance and energy efficiency.
