Consulting Architect
Provides as-needed technical support and subject matter expertise to assist the owner in assessing the progress or status of a design/development/construction project to enable the owner in making decisions to drive the project forward in the best way possible.
Design Architect / Architect of Record
Provides either full or partial architectural design services and liaises with Owner, regulatory officials (i.e., City, State, etc.), and reviews design and/or construction progress. If a design architect is already selected, the Architect of Record often acts as a local architect and also stamps and submits the drawings for local authorities having jurisdiction.
Owner’s Representative
Similar to Consulting Architect role, but acts as an agent for the owner and is consistently present throughout the project. Regularly meets with outside architect, engineer, and/or contractor entities.
